I was not make it to marches first friday night but the following week i visted the galleries and saw everything the showed that night. I was only able see three galleries because alot were closed. The three were quirk, Metro space gallery, and Photographic arts gallery.
Quirk was not overly impressive they had the same artist up from the month before up in there big room space. In the back they had a vault though that i saw for first time there was artist that had ceramic piece were really interesting. They were vases and othere things painted in a old stone kinda feel. The artist name was Don Davis. I like the old earthy colors he used gave his pieces a calm kind of feeling. His work also kind of tricks you into thinkng his stuff was made a hundred to two hundred years ago was cool.
Second gallery I viewed by staring in the window because it was closed but you could still see everything. It was called Metro Space gallery all the work in there was visualy captivating there was big used of bright colors and gave you kind of a trippy feel. I did not see name of artist but i have say the work in there interested me more then most galleries work does. There was silver brick tower thing on the inside with yellow eye was facinating could not stop staring at the eye on it. When I paint i always use bright colors so it always highly like art that also uses bright colors. Its interesting to see somthing similar or kinda or in same relm of what you do.
My favorite gallery I saw was the photographic Arts gallery I also viewed everything through the window there because the place was locked. They were showing a man named James Phelps work I loved this gallery. I have never seen panoramic pictures put up for art show before. The whole gallery was James panoramic pictures it was awsome. Most the photos were in sephia tone which was cool because usually you dont see alot of sephia pictures put up eithere gave it a slight old feel which is always interesting to see. All his pictures were either of streets or landscapes from what I could see. My favorite photo i saw of his was actually black and white. It was sitting on ground against wall and was beautiful. The photoshoping was perfect lighting and tones were perfect everything about it was beautiful i wish i could have it hanging on my wall right now but i couldnt afford it and the place was closed.
